The start of the Global Convention on Coaching dialogue is rapidly approaching and the convention steering committee, Michael Cavanagh (Aus), David Lane (UK), Dianne Stober (US), John Bennett (US) have launched a new website - full of information about the GCC, the dialogue process and how you can participate. (www.coachingconvention.org)
For those who have not heard of the GCC before, it is a non-partisan non-profit dialogue in which all the stakeholders in coaching (consumers, coaches, training organisations and professional bodies) are gathering together to think through and discuss the future of coaching. The dialogue process leads up to an international gathering in Dublin in 2008. The convention organisers are still seeking interested people to participate in the working groups as well as the wider consultation groups. The deadline for registering your interest in being a member of a working group is Friday 3rd August 2007, however, membership of the wider consultation groups will remain open for everyone who is interested. The GCC is a non-partisan forum for dialogue, and the convention steering committee are looking for as many stakeholders to participate as possible. So, if you are interested in having a voice in this dialogue, complete and submit the registration form below to register your interest in participation.
